Our guide to some of the best food and drink events in the county throughout 2017
January 20th – February 5th
Over 17 nights, 23 top chefs from across the world - with 16 Michelin stars between them - take over the Northcote kitchens at Langho.
Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival
The Ramsbottom Chocolate Festival takes places in March and is the perfect place for chocolate lovers. Now in its 9th year, the highlight is the chocolate themed street market featuring artisan chocolatiers and bakers.

The Liverpool Food and Drink Spring Festival
This foodie festival will be returning to Sefton Park offering a fresh twist with the focus all about the awakening of Spring. It includes a fresh flower market, gin market, children’s enchanted garden and street food.

The Great British Food Festival
The Great British Food Festival returns to Stonyhurst College in 2017. Along with over 80 local and artisan producers, there is lots to see and do including chef demos, live music, kid’s cookery and the popular cake off and Man V Food competitions.

Blackpool Chilli Festival
Mexican Chilli lovers should head to St. John's Square for a day filled with spicy events including chilli competitions, artisan chilli stalls and live cooking demos.
April 30th - May 1st
Lancaster Food and Drink Festival
Taking place at Lancaster Leisure Park, this two-day event showcases some of the finest artisan producers from across the north west. Now in its sixth year, it is becoming one of the popular food events in the county. Expect foodie delights, street food, the opportunity to buy meats, breads, cheeses and wines and a fantastic selection of locally brewed beers, ciders, fruit juices, natural cordials and locally ground coffees.
Southport Food & Drink Festival
Set in the beautiful Victoria Park, there will be entertainment from local bands throughout the day so once you have chosen what to eat you can sit on the grass and chill out.
Accrington Food and Drink Festival
Last year’s event attracted over 14,000 visitors. Many of the same ingredients will be there this year including the area’s finest food producers and retailers, live cookery demonstrations and a fabulous continental food market on Broadway.
Clitheroe Food Festival
One of the highlights of Lancashire’s food calendar, Clitheroe Food Festival is one of the most successful food and drink events in the north west. Now in its seventh year, the 2017 event will have everything from world cuisine chef demonstrations, street food to sample, the finest Lancashire produce as well as The Food Academy offering cooking workshops for children. There will also be great live music playing at the pop-up bars.

Fylde Coast Food and Drink Festival
Marine Hall will host this popular event. The festival will be bigger and better and will fill the whole of the Fleetwood venue including the impressive main ballroom as well as outside along the colonnade. There will be cooking demonstrations, samples to try and delicious food and drink to buy.
Bolton Food and Drink Festival
Dubbed as one of the region’s favourite food and drink festivals, you can expect more than 100 food and drink stalls, speciality markets, live music and family activities as well as the very popular live cookery theatre.
2017 Lancashire Life Food and Drink Awards
The leading lights of the region's food and hospitality industry will be at The Mercure Blackburn Dunkenhalgh Hotel, for a fabulous evening of food & drink and to see the announcements of this year's winners.
