10th November – 20th December

Manchester Christmas Markets

The Manchester Christmas Markets are arguably one of the most popular festive market destinations in the country, attracting visitors from across the UK year on year. They have become a popular leisure destination as well as a hub for some magical Christmas retail therapy. There will be nearly three hundred and fifty unique festooned stalls and chalets that will span throughout the city for you to explore offering a range of International and local produce and goods. The markets have a truly international twist, as you can fill up your bellies with traditional German Beer, Hungarian goulash, Spanish paella or a good old-fashioned traditional hog roast.

Christmas Arts & Crafts Market at Manchester Cathedral

For one weekend only, Manchester Cathedral will host its first Christmas Arts & Crafts Market, when over 75 artists and makers gather together under the roof of one of the city’s finest buildings to bring you a huge selection of the best Christmas presents in town.

Lancaster Brewery Christmas Market

The festive Christmas Market returns to the Lancaster Brewery for another year, selling seasonal treats to fill up your stockings or to make for some last minute gifts for loved ones. There will of course be some delicious hot festive food, a special guest appearance from Santa and you will also be able to sample some of the famous Lancaster beer.

25th -26th November

Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival

The Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Market and Festival returns once again bringing delightful host of events packed full of festivity. It attracts thousands of visitors to the traditional market town where they can soak up the atmosphere of a time gone by. Among a variety of events and entertainment, there will be costume competitions, horse drawn carriages and a Christmas market with unusual gifts and festive food.

1st December – 8th January

Bolton Winter Festival 

Bolton is transformed into a winter wonderland with activities to keep everyone happy. There will be over 40 stalls to browse at the artisanal Christmas markets, and from December 10 there will be an ice rink where you can practise your skating, and a 55m snow slide. Father Christmas will also be making an appearance at his grotto and on specific dates you can hop on his Express Train for a ride around Bolton’s festive streets.

2nd, 9th, 16th December

Clitheroe Christmas Market

Returning for a second year, Clitheroe Christmas Market is a great place to explore with friends or family on each Saturday in December. Along with a number of local stalls selling Christmas gifts, decorations and festive food, there will also be a jam-packed programme of entertainment including local musicians and brass bands. On December 2, Clitheroe Chamber of Trade will also be holding its Christmas Festival with festive fun including Santa’s arrival on the train, a grotto, Christmas crafts and children’s activities.

2nd – 3rd December

Etsy Made Local Lancashire

The community-led market event returns for its second year at the Harris Museum & Art Gallery.

The event is set up so local Etsy sellers can bring their products directly to the public rather than the usual route of the Etsy website, so expect plenty of arts and crafts for your Christmas inspiration.

Huntley's Outdoor Christmas Market

Huntley's Outdoor Christmas Market will be held on Saturday 2nd December from 10am to 4pm. There will be stalls, food, mulled wine, Santa’s Grotto and merriment galore.

Lowry Outlet Magical Makers Market

Whalley Pickwick Festival

The annual festive event is back for another year and will be bringing Christmas joy to Lancashire once again. This year, there will be entertainment from live pipe and brass bands, reindeers, Father Christmas and plenty of market stalls with lots of special Christmas treats including gifts and festive foods.

9th - 10th December

Windermere Christmas Markets

Windermere's German themed Christmas market returns to the Lake District this festive season. The two day extravaganza will have a huge range of unique stalls selling some seasonal gifts that will make for perfect Christmas presents. Delicious food and drink will also be on offer as well as exciting street entertainment and even a special visit from Santa and his reindeers. The festive celebrations will be continuing into the night in some of Windermere’s brilliant bars and restaurants.

10th December  

Croston Village Christmas Fair

Starting with Santa’s arrival at 1pm, this village Christmas fair also has a market and craft stalls, children’s fun fair, Santa’s Grotto and land train. Entertainment is provided by two local brass bands, a choir, magic shows and Stone the Crows Morris Dancers. There will be lots of food stalls including hog roast, mulled wine and vension burgers.

Crafty Vintage : Festive Market at Holmes Mill

Holmes Mill festive marketplace will be brimming with gorgeous gifts, treats and eats from the finest collectors, creators and makers in the land!

Garstang Victorian Christmas Festival

Garstang is historically a market town with a rich history and the home of the Victorian Christmas festival. The town will be transformed into a decorated display where you will find live bands, singers, stilt walkers, Punch and Judy and so much more. Santa will be making an appearance, so don’t forget to visit him in his grotto on High Street.

16th – 17th December

Ramsbottom Christmas Market

This year there will be the usual street market on Bridge Street and Church Gardens, as well as an indoor craft market at the Civic Hall and a snow globe, mini train, fun truck and carol singing. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of crafts, food and drink, as well as the independent bars, restaurants and shops around the town.

Christmas Farmer's Market at Hoghton Tower

The Great Barn at Hoghton Tower will host the  ‘Merchant of Hoghton’, a celebration of fresh local produce. Local producers will be joined by are joined by bakers, confectioners and crafts stalls.

10am- 2pm £1 per car, 50p for pedestrians.
