Nestled in the heart of the English Lake District, Rothay Manor is an elegant country house retreat, the perfect escape from the stresses of modern living. Step into a realm of old-world charm: relax by one of our roaring fires, indulge in our fine dining cuisine, or take a gentle stroll to England’s largest lake.

Indulge in innovative fine dining cuisine in our relaxed restaurant, or enjoy a sumptuous afternoon tea in one of our bright and airy lounges. Spend sociable hours with loved ones over a leisurely Sunday lunch, or grab a quick bite from our bar menu. Whatever your tastes we have plenty to delight from one of our menus.

Chef Brandon Shepherd was inspired into the Chefs’ life by his mother and grandmother, and has developed his skills and passion at many awarded restaurants in the UK and France.

He has a devotion to local seasonal ingredients and develops his menu to showcase the best of the produce. With this passion he is helping to develop our kitchen garden, to make the most of his nature to plate philosophy.

Brandon heads the talented team of chefs and has already achieved the accolade of 2 AA rosettes in recognition of culinary excellence.

Intimate soirees or grand galas, corporate events or a special celebration, Rothay Manor is the perfect place to hold your memorable party.

We can welcome up to 28 people for lunch or dinner in our fine dining restaurant, and can take care of the menu for you, so all you need to do is socialize among friends, drink your favourite wine, and indulge in the culinary creations of our chef!

For any private reservations or parties please contact our events manager Victoria Pym on 015394 33605 or victoria@rothaymanor.co.uk
