Familiar faces including Ken Dodd, Les Dennis and Alan Hansen joined HRH Prince Edward, Earl of Wessex, at a special gala evening celebrating 150 years of the Liverpool Empire Theatre.

The sell out performance of Willy Russell’s Blood Brothers, produced by Bill Kenwright, saw 120 guests enjoy the performance, as well as attend a pre-show and interval champagne and canapé reception in the theatre’s Piano Bar.

The evening was organised by the Liverpool Empire Trust, a charity which has been key in the longevity of the theatre.
