Marketing Lancashire chief executive Rachel McQueen shares some of her best loved tastes of the county

This may seem like a bit of a cop out, but I find it impossible to choose a favourite place in Lancashire. I do, however, have a favourite thing to do, and that is to eat out with family and friends. I have many happy memories, from taking my two-year-old daughter to Northcote for lunch (the fantastic staff entirely unfazed when she demanded pasta while the rest of us indulged in the tasting menu), to countryside walks followed by fabulous Sunday lunches at the White Swan at Fence, the Cartford Inn and the Parkers Arms. I have been lucky enough to have dinner with friends at Moor Hall just after they achieved their Michelin star, and to have found the Freemasons at Wiswell via word of mouth not long after it was taken over by Steve Smith. This picture was taken by my husband when we went for lunch there earlier this year to celebrate me getting the role of chief executive at Marketing Lancashire. I am looking forward to many more happy food related memories to come.
