Autumn is a spectacular time of year in the garden with thousands of beautiful blooms to admire and amazing produce to harvest.

Celebrate the seasonal abundance in style at Britain's best-loved autumn gardening event, Harrogate Flower Show, which runs from September 13-15 at the Great Yorkshire Showground.

New for 2019 is 'Back to the Future', exploring how the UK's rich gardening heritage is fuelling a rosy future. From traditional pleasure parks repurposed to the resurgence in British-grown flowers, visitors will discover how the past can have a big part to play in shaping horticulture for years to come.

The Creative Spaces garden planting competition offers big ideas for small beds and borders, while Britain's largest exhibition by specialist gardeners offers the chance to lose yourself in an ocean of 5,000 autumn blooms.

Great garden shopping, crafts, gifts and regional foods all make for a fantastic September day out.
