Merewood Country House Hotel, Windermere
Set in 20 acres of landscaped grounds, the hotels spectacular setting is matched by the food prepared by chef Leon Whitehead. His imaginative menus from simple classics to more contemporary combinations are prepared with great attention to detail.
Castle Green, Kendal
Modern British cuisine served in the shadow of Kendal Castle. Award-winning chef Justin Woods has boosted standards by his passion for local produce. His local tasting menu is unsurprisingly very popular and the family hotel has a strong reputation among regulars. Afternoon tea is a particular treat.
The Wordsworth Hotel, Grasmere
In the heart of the village set in two acres of award-winning landscaped gardens, The Wordsworth offers a touch of luxury with its 2 rosette fine dining restaurant where the food is stylish and modern.
