Another nomination for this Lakeland favourite – this time for the excellent dishes prepared head chef Andrew Burton and his team. He has a network of local suppliers who bring him the best and it’s served in a elegant conservatory restaurant.
Fellinis serves sophisticated modern vegetarian cuisine which has a Mediterranean twist. Dishes such as asparagus, mushroom and cream strudel and roasted squash and thyme risotto make return visits a must – even for carnivores

Head chef Ryan Blackburn has a CV that includes some of the UK’s top establishments. Now, he has set up on his own, with the help of his brother, to serve exquisite food in the tiny former workplace of William Wordsworth.
