The nominations for the 2014 Lancashire Life Traditional Dining Pub of the Year Award. The winner announced at the Hilton Hotel, Deansgate, Manchester, on Monday October 27th 2014

Eagle and Child, Ramsbottom
This award-winning dining pub is noted for the fact it operates a scheme to help young people into employment through catering training schemes. However, that doesn’t stop them producing stunning dishes such as Lancashire sausage with Eve’s black pudding and Sandham’s tasty Lancashire cheese and ham hock

HIGHLY COMMENDED
Birley Arms, Warton
Excellent food in contemporary surroundings with the emphasis on attention to detail and value for money. An extensive menu contains locally sourced food and some classic dining pub food plus some good veggie alternatives such a wild mushroom risotto.
The Pendle Inn, Barley
This old inn, in the heart of Pendle witch country, is famous for its good beer and hearty food. The Pendle Inn sources its food from Lancashire farms and dairies and is part of the Taste Lancashire Awards scheme.
