Now running for more than 20 years, our food & drink awards are the trophies everyone wants to win - and we need your help to choose the best.
Lancashire Life has begun the search for the cream of the region's food and drink scene. Our annual Food and Drink Awards reward shining stars of the region's dining establishments for their hard work, dedication and exceptional food and drink.
For the 2019 Lancashire Life & Lake District Life Food and Drink Awards guests will again gather for a night of fun and drama at Ribby Hall on October 14.
Trevor Stone, one of our senior judges, said: 'I can't wait to sample the best the region's burgeoning food and drink scene has to offer. For me, the vital ingredients are delicious food, created using local produce, offering great value for money. And I'm always on the look-out for great customer service.'
Susan Milburn, of business and banqueting at Ribby Hall, added: 'Following on from all the fabulous feedback we received from Lancashire Life's guests and sponsors who attended the 2018 Food and Drink awards here, the icing on the cake was to be asked to host these prestigious awards again for 2019. Last year was such a wonderful evening and the team are extremely excited to be hosting the 2019 event . The kitchen team headed up by Chris Parsons are already working on a bespoke menu for the event.'
Our judges, led by the editor, are about to start secretly visiting local restaurants and bars but we'd like your help. Our Family Dining and Outstanding Customer Service Awards are for readers to decide. We would also love you to nominate your favourites in the other categories.
Finally, we are very grateful to our sponsors - without them the awards night would not be possible.

LANCASHIRE LIFE Family Dining of the Year - READER VOTE
Judges of this category will be looking for a restaurant, café or pub which really meets the needs of family dining, by demonstrating attention to the requirements across the generations of diners both in terms of its food offering, atmosphere, entertainment, sense of theatre, and the variety of menu for guests regardless of age. The award reflects the whole experience, so is aimed at establishments that place a great emphasis on standards of service, both front of house and in the food preparation, as well as having that 'certain something' which makes it appeal to the whole family.
Outstanding Customer Service - READER VOTE
Service has to be just right — not lacking, but not intrusive either. We want you to tell us about the place that blends warmth and courtesy with knowledge and efficiency.
