Lancashire Life is celebrating 65 years of publishing the countys favourite magazine and you can help us to make it a special day.
We are pleased to announce we are staging our birthday lunch on Friday, September 14, at one of Lancashires loveliest hotels, the Gibbon Bridge at Chipping.
Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell will welcome readers to a delightful meal from the talented team overseen by award-winning owner Janet Simpson.
Under her guidance, the Gibbon Bridge has developed from being a farmhouse bed and breakfast into a multi award-winning luxury hotel and restaurant with outstanding gardens and views.
Its most recent addition has been a stunning new Orangery that oozes style and sophistication. As a young girl growing up in a Lancashire farming family, Janet recalls helping her parents sell produce on a market stall in front of Prestons old Public Hall.
Vital components of that hall ten ornate cast iron pillars now stand proudly and beautifully painted in the Orangery and in the adjoining exterior barbecue area.
Last year, the Gibbon Bridge was named Lancashire Life Hotel of the Year so where better for the county magazine of Lancashire to celebrate?
You can have a lasting memory of this special day the event will be featured in the November issue.
