Lying in a leafy clearing above the shores of one of Britain’s most iconic lakes sits The Ryebeck.

The RyebeckThe Ryebeck

A beautiful, peaceful and unpretentious country house, The Ryebeck is a place to kick back, relax and enjoy the informal friendly, home from home atmosphere.

Dinner in our terrace restaurant overlooking Lake Windermere has long been a Lake District tradition. Dominic Clarke’s superb food combined with our warm hospitality and ambience provide a wonderful dining experience.

Dinner: Head Chef Dominic Clarke is delighted to announce two new dinner menus. The Ryebeck menu highlights the skills, craft, flavour and technique of our chefs; drawing inspiration from around the globe. Our classic menu offers simplicity, quality and comfort of modern British cuisine.

Our 3-course dinner is served every night from 6.30pm until 9.00pm and includes canapés and freshly made bread.

We also serve a modern take on the traditional Sunday lunch every week from 12.00pm until 2.15pm.

Afternoon tea: freshly prepared sandwiches, a selection of exquisite cakes and sweet treats and a large selection of teas and infusions - why not book afternoon tea and relax in the lounge - a perfectly civilised way to spend the afternoon.

It doesn’t get more British than afternoon tea over-looking Lake Windermere, come rain, shine or whatever the weather throws at us!

Afternoon tea is served every day of the week from 2.30pm until 4.00pm.
