Lytham St Anne's is a wonderful place to visit over the Christmas holidays as there are plenty of festive places to visit with lots to do for the whole family.

If you are planning a visit to Lytham this Christmas and fancy a spot of shopping, a bite to eat or a classic pantomime then follow our short festive guide to the seaside town.


Lytham Lights Switch On

The annual lights switch on takes place on Saturday 18th November. This year's headline act is Collabro alongside an extensive range of acts as well as a firework display. The event kicks off as 1.45pm with the big switch on between 4pm - 4.30pm


Christmas shopping

Leave the hectic Christmas shopping in towns and cities behind and browse some of Lytham's wonderful independent retailers fore a more relaxed and stress-free Christmas shopping experience. Stroll through Clifton Walk Shopping Arcade where you can browse their eleven, unique retailers. Take a visit to Stringers homeware and be inspired by their fashion and homeware gift ideas. 


Lowther Pavilion

Visit Lytham's Lowther Pavilion theatre this Christmas and watch a classic Christmas pantomime, Jack and the Beanstalk. Running from the 8th-30th December, Dick Whiitington is a whole load of festive fun for the whole family. Lytham Hall

The popular Christmas Carol Service is already fully booked, but there plenty of festive events in store at Lytham Hall this year. There are a couple of flower arranging workshops that will teach you how to create a Christmas Wreaths and Voltive Candle Center. They also have a Festive Lunch from Thursday to Sunday throughout December.

A festive bite to eat

Lytham is full of great places to indulge in some festive food and have a celebratory drink. Ego, located on Pleasant Street, serve a wide range of Mediterranean food and have a delicious Christmas menu to choose from as well as some spectacular cocktails to accompany. Café Grand are also serving up a festive feast where you can enjoy three delicious courses and their take on a Christmas dinner. And it's also the second Christmas with Gusto after they opened in Lytham last year. There are also plenty of places to carry on the Christmas celebrations including Taps, The Queen's Hotel, 15's of St Annes and No.10 Ale House.
