9 November-22 December  

Manchester Christmas Markets

Albert Square, St Ann's Square and Corn Exchange

Manchester's award-winning Christmas Markets return offering mouth-watering international food, drinks and delicately crafted Yuletide gifts in the heart of the buzzing city. They have become a popular leisure destination as well as a hub for some magical Christmas retail therapy. There will be nearly 350 unique festooned stalls and chalets that will span throughout the city for you to explore, offering a range of international and local produce and goods.


23 & 24 November

Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Festival

Ulverston Town Centre

The Ulverston Dickensian Christmas Market and Festival brings with it a delightful host of events packed full of festivity. It attracts thousands of visitors to the traditional market town where they can soak up the atmosphere of a bygone era. Among a variety of events and entertainment, there will be costume competitions, horse drawn carriages and a Christmas market with unusual gifts and festive food.


30th November - 1st December

Harris Christmas Fair

Hosted on Preston's Market Square, this market will showcase a variety of locally based artists and makers, this is a one-stop-shop for all your Christmas gift needs.


7 & 8 December

Taste Cumbria Christmas Festival

Cockermouth, Cumbria

From mulled wine and mince pies, to festive fizz and fancy cakes, all the flavours of the season will be on offer in Cockermouth at the 2019 Taste Cumbria Christmas Festival. The weekend will include a giant producers' market with 60 stalls, a hot food court with meals and snacks, and a bar packed with ales and fizz from Jennings brewery. There will also be plenty of family activities and festive entertainment, with a fairground and Christmassy arts and crafts.


7, 14 & 21 December

Clitheroe Christmas Market

Market Bullring, Station Road, Clitheroe

Returning for another year, Clitheroe Christmas Market is a great place to explore with friends or family on each Saturday in December. Along with a number of local stalls selling Christmas gifts, decorations and festive food, there will also be a jam-packed programme of entertainment including local musicians and brass bands.


8 & 14-15 December

Ramsbottom Christmas Markets

Bridge Street, Ramsbottom

This year there will be the usual street market on Bridge Street and Church Gardens, as well as an indoor craft market at the Civic Hall and a snow globe, mini train, fun truck and carol singing. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of crafts, food and drink, as well as the independent bars, restaurants and shops from all around the town.


8 December

Croston Village Christmas Fair

Starting with Santa's arrival at 1pm, this village Christmas Fair also has a market and craft stalls, children's fun fair, Santa's Grotto and land train. Entertainment is provided by two local brass bands, a choir, magic shows and Stone the Crows Morris Dancers. There will be lots of food stalls including hog roast, mulled wine and vension burgers, perfect to warm you up.


9 & 10 December

Garstang Victorian Christmas Festival

Garstang is a market town with a rich history and the home of the Victorian Christmas Festival. The town will be transformed into a decorated display where you will find live bands, singers, stilt walkers, Punch and Judy and so much more. 

Santa will be making an appearance, so don't forget to visit him in his grotto on the High Street.


14 & 15 December

Windermere Christmas Celebration

Windermere's German-themed Christmas market returns to the Lake District this festive season for its fourth year, with the new addition of an ice rink. 

The two day extravaganza will have a huge range of unique stalls selling some seasonal gifts that will make for perfect Christmas presents. Delicious food and drink will also be on offer as well as exciting street entertainment and even a special visit from Santa and his reindeers. The festive celebrations will be continuing into the night in some of Windermere's brilliant bars and restaurants.


14 & 15 December

Crafty Vintage Festive Market

Wyresdale Park in Scorton will be brimming with gorgeous gifts, treats and eats from the finest collectors, creators and makers in the land. Established for over seven years, the winter markets showcase an exclusive mix of exhibitors, and a varied line-up of live music, artisan foods and delicious street food.
