A Manchester kitchen retailer has been recognised as one of the North’s top designers in a prestigious industry award ceremony. Prestwich based Diane Berry was recently named as a double winner at the KBSA Designer Awards, held in Warwickshire on 11th September to recognise outstanding design skills in the kitchen, bathroom and bedroom sector. Beating a landslide of other entrants, Diane scooped the KBSA Kitchen Designer of the year award and the KBSA Designer of the Year. Diane Berry Kitchens also won second place for the Best Customer Service Award.

“It’s fantastic to have won two prestigious awards, especially in the midst of such strong competition,” said Diane. “It’s a real honour to have been recognised for what we do and to play our part in promoting design excellence; we’re thrilled to have won.”

KBSA CEO Graham Ball said: “KBSA members offer outstanding professionalism and expertise and these awards provide us with an opportunity to recognise and reward the high standards of design that they achieve. The standard of this year’s entries was outstanding with many categories hotly contested, making it a real honour for the winners.”

“The designer has transformed a long, narrow kitchen into an inspirational yet practical space for the client,” said KBSA judges. “The curved sink run is a simple masterstroke that transforms the fortunes of a galley kitchen. Inviting lines and detailing add to this dramatic and successful design transformation.”

Diane Berry, owner and ALNO retailer with over 32 years’ experience as a kitchen designer, said: “This award demonstrates the exact quality of the design projects that we do right here in Manchester.”
