Archant

Don’t miss out on Keswick if you’re heading towards Derwentwater to take some photos.

Keswick is the usual base for those looking to explore nearby Derwentwater, but the pretty market town is an underrated source of good photos.

The Keswick is overlooked by Latrigg in the north and Catbells on the western side of Derwentwater, and they both provide an imposing background for shots taken from the town, they are also the perfect vantage point for great panoramic views of Keswick and the surrounding area. In addition, several woods lie in between the town and the lake.

Why don’t you upload your photos of Keswick to the reader photo gallery?

All images uploaded to the website will be entered into the 2016 Lancashire Life reader photo competition and we pick the best ones to go into the magazine each month.

Pick up a copy of the May 2016 issue of Lancashire Life to read our feature on Keswick - on sale from April 21st.
