The second annual steam rally organised by Rotary Lytham in collaboration with the hall trust attracted more than 3,000 people across the weekend.
Visitors were able to marvel at an array of large and small engines, including a 200-year-old carousel as well as vintage cars, vans and machinery.
Keeping with the vintage theme, visitors were offered free transport in classic buses belonging to the Ribble Vehicle Preservation Trust.
The Wigan Ukulele Band kept up the tempo during the day. ‘The continued support for Rotary and Lytham Hall by people of the Fylde shone through, even when the sun didn’t,’ said Herbert Chatters, one of the organisers of the event. ‘They turned out in their thousands and enjoyed historical steam and modern day family fun, something for everyone and food to match.’
All proceeds will be split equally between Lytham Hall’s restoration programme and Rotary’s chosen charities. u
