Kelly Houghton married Ben Jones at the Fisherman’s Retreat in Shuttleworth in front of 80 guests. The bride wore a stunning lace dress and was accompanied by her three bridesmaids in pistachio gowns.

Sharon Riley, daughter of Joan and Keith Riley married Paul Clarke, son of Mary and Ron Clarke. The couple, a paramedic and police officer respectively, plan to make their marital home in Thornton Cleveleys. After a mini-moon in the Lake District the couple will take a further honeymoon in Mexico.
Maxine Johnson, a dog groomer from Warrington, married Michael Winrow, a site supervisor from Wigan at The Langdale Chase Hotel in Windermere Their marital home is in Wigan.
Dr Katie Claire Beeston, a doctor from Newton le Willows, married Kevin Robert Smith, a civil servant also from Newton le Willows at All Hallows Church in Great Mitton. The couple then honeymooned in Canada.
Siobhan Almond married James Mawdsley at Salford Cathedral. The ceremony was followed by a reception at the Lowry Hotel in Salford, a place with many memories for the Almond family as Siobhan’s great-great grandfather lived on the site a many years ago. Her dad mentioned this in his speech and said it as like ‘coming home’. Other highlights of the day included photographs taken outside the old Fire Station in Salford as James is a fireman. The couple honeymooned in New Zealand.
Wendy Yates from Water in Rossendale, daughter of Geraldine and Terence Yates from Ramsbottom, married Andrew Cockcroft, also from Water, son of Barbara and Brian Cockcroft from Burnley at Eaves Hall in West Bradford, near Clitheroe. The couple were joined by friends and family from home and overseas at their country vintage themed day, with their daughters Niamh and Kate as bridesmaids and the groom’s older children Sophie and Joe as attendants. Chartered accountant Victoria Stott from Fulwood, Preston, daughter of Jackie and Guy Stott, married Stuart Kennedy, head chef at the award-winning Dicconson Arms in Appley Bridge. He is the son of Julie and Chris Kennedy also from Fulwood. The service was held at St Athony’s Parish Church and followed by a reception for 80 guests and 160 in the evening at the Inn and Whitewell, near Chipping. Helen Gray from Wigan married Andrew Ayres, also from Wigan, at a ceremony at The Gibbon Bridge Hotel in Chipping, before returning to their marital home in Dubai.
Hayley Bolton married Philip Holden at Eaves Hall in West Bradford near Clitheroe. The groom arrived at the venue by helicopter with his best man, his younger brother and cousin. The couple returned to their marital home in Haslingden after honeymooning in Mexico.
Francesca Brooks-Moizer married Marco Nieto Plett in Mexican tradition at the Omni Hotel, Cancun, with the sunny Caribbean sea and complementary rainbow forming a stunning backdrop. The bride, who attended the Grammar School in Clitheroe was given away by her stepfather Chris Everingham. The couple honeymooned in Orlando before retuning to their marital home in Mexico City where Francesca teaches at the Churchill Sixth Form College and the groom works for the Mexican government.
