The wedding of Kathryn Thompson, a Lancashire police officer from Burnley and Dominic Kenny, a teacher from Heywood, were married at the Cathedral Church of St John the Evangelist Church in Salford, followed by a reception at the Dunkenhalgh Hotel in Clayton-le-Moors. The couple then enjoyed a honeymoon in Lake Garda.
Elisabeth Waterhouse from Morecambe and Gareth Neil from Glasgow, had a vintage themed wedding. The couple exchanged their vows in St Helenâ€™s Church in Overton, the oldest church in Lancashire which was followed by a vintage/English village fete themed reception with a Scottish twist with piper, vintage bus, magician, fish and chips and Morecambe rock.
When Catherine Lloyd from Cliviger near Burnley married Darren Hays from Lumb in Rossendale the couple had an extra special guest for the wedding photographs â€“ the Olympic Torch! The ceremony took place at St James The Less RC Church in Rawtenstall and was brought forwards so that the couple and their guests could see the torch as it passed through the town. The runners even stopped and officials let photographer David Barry take pictures of the happy couple with the torch.
Nicola Louise Wray from Prestwich married Mark Lawrence Howarth from Greenmount at Mitton Hall, Clitheroe. The couple, who now live in Spain, travelled back to their home county to have their wedding in the company of family and friends, and despite it being one of the wettest days on record, we love the atmosphere the rain gave their wedding photographs.
Sarah Belshaw, a PR executive from Colne married Antony Bradshaw, an Affiliates Manager and Data Analyst from Barnoldswick at St Bartholomewâ€™s Church in Colne followed by a reception at Mitton Hall, Whalley. The couple returned to their marital home in Trawden following their honeymoon on Silhouette Island in the Seychelles
Dr Katey Anne Baldwin from Wigan married Richard Peter Yeowart from Preston at St Maryâ€™s at Fernyhalgh Church in Garstang followed by a reception with friends and family at Ferraris Country House Hotel in Longridge. The couple enjoyed a vintage broadway theme to their day with tables named after show tunes. The couple returned to their home in Whalley following a honeymoon in rural Spain.

Anne-Marie Grogan from Manchester married Shaun Boyle, also from Manchester in a ceremony surrounded by family and friends at Solis Lough Eske Castle in Ireland, before returning to their marital home in Whitefield.
Jennifer Sarah Parker married Wesley James Hartley in a ceremony with a difference â€“ it was conducted by Jenniferâ€™s mother, Reverend Janet Parker. The bride walked down the aisle at St Leonardâ€™s Church in Walton-le-Dale, to â€˜Here, there and everywhereâ€™ followed by â€˜A Hard Dayâ€™s Nightâ€™ and closing with â€˜Hey Judeâ€™
Ruth Foulkes and Barry Woods from Worsley exchanged their wedding vows at an unusual venue â€“ a care village in Atherton, so that Ruthâ€™s mum a resident at Belong Atherton could attend the wedding.
A further 30 guests joined the couple for their intimate civil ceremony which was followed by celebration drinks and a sit-down meal from chefs at Belong Athertonâ€™s Bistro.
