It was ladies’ night at The Village Hotel in Bury as guests from various Women’s Institutes celebrated 100 years since women won the vote in an event hosted by Prestwich and Whitefield WI .

The WI was formed in 1915 to revitalise rural communities and encourage women to become more involved during the First World War. Since then, the organisation’s aims have broadened and the WI is now the largest voluntary women’s organisation in the UK.

Guests were welcomed with a drink on arrival and then enjoyed a wonderful three-course meal.

Carla Palmer was the evening’s entertainment and she delighted everyone with her winning vocals as many ladies took to the dance floor and enjoyed the fun until late evening.
