The life of legendary footballer, Sir Tom Finney, was celebrated in a tribute dinner at Preston North End Football Club.

Organised by Sir Tom’s family and friends, the evening was held in the Invincibles Suite and paid tribute to the contribution he made to English football and to the city of Preston.

Sir Tom spent his entire football career with Preston North End playing 473 games and scoring a club record of 210 goals. All profits from the dinner were donated to the Sir Tom Finney Preston Soccer Development Centre, an independent charity for supporting grass roots football for everyone
