Willowbrook hospice, which is 20 years old next year, held their annual ladies’ luncheon at Knowsley Hall, raising almost £8,000.

The event, organised by the Hospice ladies’ committee chaired by Joan Reakes, was attended by 140.
Guests enjoyed a champagne reception with canapés, two course lunch and then a talk from Captain H B Daglish, a former skipper of the Royal Yacht Britannia.
