Lancashire and Lake District Life Reader Photo Competition - March 2012

We launch the Lancashire Life photography competition in association with Wilkinson Cameras
Our annual search for the countys best photographers has become one of the magazines most popular fixtures. Last year you submitted almost 2000 brilliant photos which highlighted the beauty and variety of our county.
This years competition is once again sponsored by Wilkinsons Cameras and as ever they have selected some wonderful prizes to give away to whoever takes the three pictures chosen by our panel of expert judges.
The top three including the winner of our new Young Photographer of the Year category for under 16-year-olds will receive terrific camera equipment.
Top prize is a Nikon D5100 and AF-S 18-55 VR worth 630, and the runner-up will receive a Nikon Coolpix P7100 worth 400. Our young photographer of the year will win a Nikon Coolpix AW100 worth 250.
The judging panel will led by Lancashire Life editor Roger Borrell, who will choose the winners along with picture editor John Cocks and David Pilkington from Wilkinsons Cameras

The Lancashire Life competition is only open to non-professionals and entries must be uploaded to our website, lancashire.greatbritishlife.co.uk

You will be asked to register, which is free and also allows you to comment on articles and photographs on the site, to enter competitions and to take advantage of special offers.
Once youve signed up youll be able to add your photos to the hundreds already online.
