You could win terrific prizes from Wilkinson Cameras in our super photographic competition.

Lancashire Life is synonymous with great photography. Whether its a stunning shot of Bowland by a professional landscape photographer or a beautiful image of Lytham windmill by a talented amateur, youre likely to find it somewhere between our covers.

And on-line, our website has developed into a major resource, holding the very best images taken by amateurs with a passion for photography. It forms an extraordinary archive of Lancashire and the Lakes.

Once again, we are very pleased to announce that we have teamed up with Wilkinsons, the leading north west based retailer of cameras and accessories, to stage the Lancashire Life Photographic Awards.

The competition is only open to non-professionals and entries must be uploaded to our website, by Friday October 7.

Click on the Reader photos link on the left of the page.

You will be asked to register, which is free and also allows you to comment on articles and photographs on the site, to enter competitions and to take advantage of special offers.

Once youve signed up youll be able to add your photos to the hundreds already online. Judging will be conducted by a panel including Lancashire Life photographic team John Cocks and Kirsty Thompson.

To give you a little inspiration, weve selected a few memorable pictures currently on our website.

So dont delay - great prizes are only a click away and every month well be showcasing a selection in our pages.

Good luck!

Meanwhile, Wilkinsons have produced some great prizes for our first competition. They are:

1st New Canon EOS 600D & EF-S 18-55 IS lens worth 750.00

2nd Canon Powershot S95 worth 300.00
