You could win terrific prizes from Wilkinson Cameras in our super photographic competition. This month we focus on the Lancashire coast

The Lancashire coast is dominated by Southport and Blackpool, the behemoths of the tourism industry which stand guard over the Ribble estuary, but these stunning photographs prove there is beauty all along our coastline.

These are just some of the latest batch of entries sent in by amateur photographers who are competing for wonderful prizes from Wilkinson Cameras.

For more than 20 years the Preston-based company have been supplying top quality equipment to photographers. And they have selected three superb pieces of equipment as prizes for our 2010 competition. The winner will receive a Canon EOS 500D &EF-S 18-55 worth 600, while two runners-up will win a Canon Digital Ixus 200IS each worth 230.

And our winner will also go through to represent Lancashire in a nationwide competition with a top prize of 5,000. Full details here

We will continue to feature some of the best entries in the magazine and online at lancashire.greatbritishlife.co.uk and the winners, who will be selected by a judging panel led by Lancashire Life picture editor John Cocks and editor Roger Borrell, will receive a host of wonderful prizes.

The competition is only open to non-professionals and entries must be with us by October 8. All entries need to be in jpeg format at 300dpi and in as large a format as possible.

There are two easy ways to enter - you can upload your images to our website, lancashire.greatbritishlife.co.uk, or send your entries on a disc, which is non-returnable, to 2010 Photographic competition, Lancashire Life, 3 Tustin Court, Port Way, Preston, Lancashire, PR2 2YQ. Well also need to know your name, address, telephone number and where each shot was taken.

Next month we will feature some of the best shots of Lancashire sunsets.
