One of the county's finest landscape photographers is exhibiting his work in his home town of Lytham
Peter Laurence has the ability to capture the essence of Lancashire in his dramatic landscape photography. His interest in mountaineering and photography has taken him to some of the worlds most beautiful and dramatic locations, focusing on the interaction of landscape and culture.
But he happily admits that his real passion is much closer to home, fired by the fact he spends much of his time in the wilder parts of Lancashires countryside and because he has worked as a voluntary warden for the Lake District National Park.
Peter, whose images regularly feature in Lancashire Life, received two major awards last year - he was named Lanscape Photographer of the Year and Kew International Garden Photographer of the Year.
People in his home town of Lytham often see his work in shops and galleries and now fans can see a wider selection of his stunning pictures.
His Selected Lanscapes and Studies exhibition features many of his award-winning shots. It runs at the Lytham Heritage Centre in Henry Street from July 17 to August 7.
