When bride-to-be Jenny Tunnah began arranging her big day she was determined to include her beloved rescue dog Archie in the plans.

Now, the four-year-old cross-bred pet is the inspiration for Jenny's entrepreneurial venture, Tuna & Bear, after turning her idea into the latest must-have wedding accessory.

It all started when she began planning her forthcoming wedding to fiancé Jamie Spedding. 'Archie is a big part of our lives so we thought it would only be right to have him carry our rings on our special day,' she said. 'I wanted him to look smart without being too dressed up but also I wanted him secure.'

Jenny, who is 27 and lives in Ulverston, searched in vain for a suitable ensemble for her dog but all she could find were outfits with sleeves and a velcro closing. She also found there was nothing available for pets to carry rings while looking smart and attached to a lead.

'Being quite handy on the sewing machine, I decided to create Archie a harness matching Jamie's suit, one that was stylish, high quality and, above all, safe. I then designed a tab for the rings.'

Jenny also fashioned a matching lead for her dapper doggie. Now Archie wouldn't look out of place in any wedding party. 'After I completed the outfit, it struck me that other couples might want their pet to be a big part of their special day.'

'I started putting a few photographs of the outfits on a social media site, then I designed a website. There was a massive response to it that has taken me completely by surprise. I am now exploring new ways to expand the business.'
