Evel Knievel was joined by Elvis, Saturday Night Fever characters and the stars of ABBA at Duerr's charity ball.

Evel Knievel was joined by Elvis, SaturdayNight Fever characters and the stars of ABBA at Duerrs charity ball. The Marma Mia theme for the annual event held by the Manchester jam makers saw partygoers getting into the spirit by donning favourite 70s costumes to raise money.


Guests were welcomed with a champagne reception, a retro-themed three-course meal and an auction filled with once-in-a-lifetime experiences including VIP tickets to the X Factor final.
The ball, held at The Point at Lancashire County Cricket Ground, Stretford, raised 25,000 for the national charity Place2Be.

Themoney will go towards the cost of providing counselling services to vulnerable children. Duerrs has now raised more than 525,000 for charities since 2000.
