More than 36,000 was raised by the 356 ladies who took part in the third Lytham St
Annes Midnight Walk.
All the money raised at the event, supported by Lancashire Life, will be used by the Sue Ryder Care charity which provides vital support for people suffering from a wide range of ailments, including MS, dementia and cancer.
Event manager Emma Siddle said the ten mile walk from King Edward VII and Queen Mary School was now the charitys single biggest fundraiser in the north west. The walk will go ahead again next May and people interested in getting involved should contact Emma on 01772 698145.
