STUDENTS from the So Talented academy of music and performing arts in Southport helped raise £2,000 for the Help the Haiti appeal at an evening of entertainment showcasing their talents.

STUDENTS from the So Talented academy of music and performing arts in Southport helped raise 2,000 for the Help the Haiti appeal at an evening of entertainment showcasing their talents. The evening, at Christ the King School in Southport, was hosted by BBC Radio Merseysides Neil Newton and featured songs from musicals including Wicked, Hairspray, Annie and Thoroughly Modern Millie.

Among the performers were Cerys Buck who has just won a place at the prestigious Italia Conti Academy of Theatre Arts in London, child star Megan Broadhurst and recent winner of Seftons Got Talent, Mitch Mimms.
