Band Bombardier John Swales sounds the dinner call

The Royal Artillery Officers' Association and The Lancashire Artillery Volunteers held their traditional St Barbara's Dinner at the Brigadier Sir Philip Toosey Territorial Army Centre in Aigburth, Liverpool.

The Royal Artillery Officers Association and The Lancashire Artillery Volunteers held their traditional St Barbaras Dinner at the Brigadier Sir Philip Toosey Territorial Army Centre in Aigburth, Liverpool.

Lieutenant General Sir Edmund Burton presided and the Honorary Colonel of the Regiment, Alan Jolley, read the Loyal Message to the Queen.

The programme of music was provided by the Band of the Lancashire Artillery Volunteers directed by WO 1 (Bandmaster) Ian Mitchell and the Regimental Pipes and Drums were led by Pipe Major Ken Beamer. St Barbara, an early Christian martyr, is the patron saint of artillerymen.
