The event, which has been established for 212 years and is organised by the Westmorland County Agricultural Society, celebrates the best things of rural life in this part of the county.
The animals were the stars of the show and there were displays of everything from heavy horses, show jumping, cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry to a parade of hounds by the Vale of Lune Harriers. The event also included the National Summer Show of the Aberdeen Angus Breed Society as well as the opportunity to discover the countryside pursuits area as well as crafts to try and local food to feast on.
