Rossall School

Rossall School is one of the country’s leading independent co-educational day and boarding schools, in a picturesque setting on the Lancashire coastline between Fleetwood and Cleveleys.

Amidst striking architecture, on a generous 160-acre campus, pupils aged 2-18 are nurtured in a safe, secure and supportive environment.

Pupils enjoy learning in a friendly, busy and challenging community both within the classroom, on the sports fields and through the extensive activity programme offered. The sense of community that defines Rossall is achieved largely through the unrivalled standard of pastoral care, by a diverse pupil base.

Grounded by a traditional British education, all pupils have the opportunity to develop friendships with others from around the world. Growing and learning in such a friendly and culturally diverse environment helps the young people develop into the well-rounded, confident and knowledgeable individuals that are typical of Rossall School.

Pupils can choose to study the world-renowned International Baccalaureate Diploma or A-levels at sixth form. The Junior School is authorised to teach the International Baccalaureate Primary Years Programme.

Rossall has recently spent 4m in refurbishing classrooms, boarding accommodation, catering and dining facilities and an all-weather playing surface. Other facilities include three ICT suites, Astronomy and Space Science Centre with planetarium and Victorian observatory, spacious sports fields, gymnasium, 25-metre heated indoor swimming pool, squash courts, climbing wall, shooting range, fives courts and even a beach (where you can participate in the annual games of Ross Hockey, a type of hockey unique to Rossall).

Open Days are held each year in Autumn and Spring, whilst entrance and scholarship examinations are held in January or February. Visits at other times of the year are available by contacting the Registrar on 01253 774260 or
