Scorton Steam 2012 - the largest steam fair in the north west - put on a show to lift everyones spirits during a damp weekend.

Organisers threw open the gates at Woodacre Farm, Scorton, near Garstang, for the eighth year and attracted thousands of welly-clad visitors. The entertaining programme of performances in the main ring included Flyin Ryans motorbike stunts complete with explosions and flames, as well as Jema Leopolds performing horses and ponies.

The vast array of vehicles and engines brought a real sense of history, charting the changes of a century of British locomotion. It seems that the worse the weather gets, the more determined Lancastrians are to enjoy themselves!
